Assessing Energy are qualified and registered Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) for all types of household property providing Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) for home owners and landlords - delivering information on the energy efficiency of their property.
What is involved an EPC and the cost?
It is easy! Book an appointment and we will visit your property and make the assessment, typically this takes 1-2 hours. If you have an urgent need we can often respond in one working day so call us to check. We cover properties in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, Wirral and Merseyside.
We will then send you a written report - this can be by email and/or on paper and is usually dispatched within 2 working days.
The cost depends on the size of the property call for a competitive no-obligation quote.
We offer discounts to landlords and organizations with multiple properties.
What's in an EPC?
The property is assessed and given a standard energy and carbon emission efficiency grade from ‘A’ to ‘G’, where ‘A’ is the most efficient and the average being D.
Part of the EPC is a report which will list the potential rating that your home could achieve, if you made the recommended changes.
The report includes:
- Suggested improvements
e.g.
- Fitting loft insulation
- Cavity wall insulation
- Energy efficient lighting
- Estimates the approximate cost for these improvements
- Estimates the potential cost savings per year
- Environmental Impact Rating
You can use this information to:
- Cut your fuel bills
- Improve the energy performance in your home
